Immigration Services for Quebec Skilled Workers

Locals in Quebec refer to the province as “la belle province,” which translates as “beautiful province.” Quebec’s official language is French. It is Canada’s biggest province. Quebec is characterized by rolling hills and many streams. These bodies of water are largely freshwater springs and lakes. It is also known as North America’s Europe.

 

Through the Quebec Skilled Worker Programme (QSWP), Quebec welcomes immigrants to contribute to the province’s growth.

 

Interested immigrants must first file an Expression of Interest (EOI) on the Quebec site MIDI. It’s the Quebec Immigration Ministry. The whole procedure would take a year to finish.

 

This program doesn’t need immigrants to have any kind of job offer nor does it have any list of in-demand occupations.

 

However, Quebec cherishes its culture more, and the candidate must qualify in a few such culturally specific areas.

 

This system is separate from the Express Entry System.

 

The Procedure

  • Submit your Expression of Interest (EOI) using the ARIMA site in Quebec
  • Once processed, the application will be added to the profile pool
  • Based on the score, such profiles will be assigned a score and a rank
  • To qualify, one must achieve a minimum of 50 points if applying alone and 59 points if applying with a spouse. The variables that distinguish the points include age, education, domain, experience, family connection in Quebec, and the number of children who might need financial assistance.
  • After completing this step, the applicant is issued a Quebec Selection Certificate (CSQ) by the province.
  • Using the CSQ, the applicant may then apply for PR with the Canadian Federal Government.

Application Requirements

  • Age- 18 years and up
  • French proficiency is necessary.
  • Education will get two points.

You must demonstrate your ability to be economically self-sufficient without relying on public funding.

 

For the same, you would get one point.

Please Keep in Mind

  • A Quebec work experience or a job offer could add more points to the applicant’s overall score. These two parameters, however, are not required to be followed.
  • Your spouse and the amount of children will contribute points to your score
