Usually, you are allowed to work while studying if you have Tier 4 (General) or Student Visa. During the time of entrance you need to check the Passport stamp/sticker on your entry clearance/residence permit-if it says “Work”(and any changes) must be authorized or able to work as authorized by the secretary of the state , you are allowed to work along with your studies.

  • If you are planning to do Bachelor’s/Master’s/PhD program then, you are allowed to work for 20 hours per week.
  • If you are planning to do any Certificate/Diploma course then, you are allowed to work for 10 hours per week.

Students are allowed to work while studying in United Kingdom, but, they can’t involve themselves for Full time working. They are allowed to do Internship which will be beneficial for them and can add in CV as an extra curriculum activity. Though United Kingdom is a competitive market, but , finding a job while studying is easy. You can do part time job in Cafes, Call Center, Stores or anything related to your skills. As a part of your syllabus, you may require to work in this case universities provide the placement or else you can directly contact university placement center. Even , you can register in local recruitment center, newspaper advertisements or notice board of Universities.
