Germany is popular for two intakes-summer and winter intake. Among them, winter intake is popular as huge number of courses offered by universities. The pool of applicants are more in Winter Intake as a result, if universities unable to accommodate students in this intake then they take forward the application for summer intake.

  • Summer intake. Commences from March to August or April to September and deadlines usually fall before January 15.
  • Winter intake. Commences from September to February or October to March and deadlines usually fall before July 15.

Most of the universities in Germany are autonomous so, deadlines differs from university to university.
